
LEXINGTON - Andrea Jenisch McCain, age 62, of Lexington, died at home on Thursday, December 4, 2014, after a battle with cancer. She was born May 31, 1952, in Keene, NH, to the late Herbert and Madeline Jenisch, and married Michael R. McCain on April 17, 1976, in Columbia, SC. She ministered with her husband in Vermont for 12 years, and cared for him until his death. Andrea touched countless lives with her Christian witness: she was an active member of Round Hill Baptist Church in Lexington for 22 years, ministered at home and abroad as a clown named "Special" in the church's clown ministry, and was on staff in public adult education for 20 years.
Survivors include her daughters and their husbands, Christa and Ethan Friddle of Greenville and Candace and Michael Wallace of Lexington; grandson, Connor Wallace; best friend, Carol Camp; stepmother, Betty Jenisch, stepsister, Kristian Jenisch; cousin, Kristi Wivagg; brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Doris McCain, and nieces and nephews. Andrea was predeceased by her husband, parents, brother, Greg Jenisch, and niece, Angie/Jenisch.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Round Hill Baptist Church, 230 Persimmon Lane, Lexington, SC 29072. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, please direct all memorial gifts to Round Hill Baptist Church.
