

LEXINGTON - Anne L. Hagee, of Lexington, SC died Saturday, April 9, 2016, after a long illness. Born in Hampton, SC on April 9, 1935 she was the daughter of the late Tobe and Rodell Freeman.
She married Robert D. Hagee on March 2, 1958 and started her life as an Army wife traveling the world-living in 27 different places in her first 25 years of marriage. After making her home in Lexington, SC in 1980 she enjoyed bowling, traveling, reconnecting with family, Gamecock sports and, most of all, babysitting and spoiling her grandchildren. She was a member of Nazareth Lutheran Church and was predeceased by her husband of 55 years.
She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Hughes (Steve), Susan McFarland (Brad); grandchildren, Jessica Hughes Buzhardt (Josh), Christopher Hughes, Madison McFarland and Olivia McFarland; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Sean, Ben and Lucy Buzhardt; sister, Verle Harrelson (Russ); brothers, Marvin “Peanut” Freeman (Maria), Gene Freeman (Juanita), Bobby Chesser (Maxine), Jimmy Chesser; and many many nieces and nephews.
She will always be remembered for her incredible strength and independent nature and will be greatly missed by all who loved her. The family truly appreciates the love and assistance provided by nieces, Charlene Almond and Mary Jane Zenoni.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Funeral service will be held at Nazareth Lutheran Church on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery.
