Anne S. Olving passed on June 9, 2026, at the age of 92. Born on June 28, 1933, Anne lived in Lexington, South Carolina. Anne Dukat Olving passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at Wellmore of Lexington Senior Living Community, where she had been a resident since 2022.
Anne was born in Graz, Austria on June 28, 1933 and at the age of 7 relocated to Gothenburg, Sweden. Anne married the love of her life, Hans P. Olving in 1954 and in 1959 they moved to the United States residing in Spring Lake, Michigan. In 1981, they moved to Lexington, SC where Anne became very involved in the community. She served as a docent at the Robert Mills House in Columbia for many years and was a patron of the Lexington County Museum. She and Hans hosted numerous international students attending the University of South Carolina, many of whom she remained in contact with up until her passing. She and Hans enjoyed many years of traveling the globe while also enjoying living on Lake Murray.
Anne was predeceased by her parents, Mina Wieser and Leopold Dukat. She was also predeceased by her husband, Hans Olving, and their sons, Per and Henrik Olving. She is survived by two nieces, Annika Dukat and Camilla Dukat of Gothenburg, Sweden as well as sister-in-law, Brigitta O. Hammar of Stockholm, Sweden, along with a niece, Karin, and two nephews, Klas and Kristian, also in Stockholm, Sweden.
The family extends special thanks to all the staff at Wellmore for their care, compassion, and genuine love of Anne during her time there, and also to the team at VIA Hospice for their comfort and gentle care over the past several months.

A Celebration of Life drop-in will be held on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at Wellmore of Lexington in the Library Room from 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
