

LEXINGTON – Funeral services for Arno Hans Mitchell, 82, will be held on Monday, July 9, 2012, at 11:30 AM at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, with burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 8, 2012, from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Mr. Mitchell was born on November 20, 1929 in Philadelphia, PA, and passed away on Friday, July 6, 2012. He was the son of the late Paul Miskolczy and Greta Stolte Miskolczy, and husband of the late JoAnn Mitchell. Mr. Mitchell was a plumber and a firefighter. He was a member of the Plumber’s Union, Local 630 and served in the Naval Reserves and the Army. He retired from the City of Columbia and was known as “The Puzzle Man.”
Surviving are his daughter, Melony (Robert) Stuckey of Leesville; son, Laurin (Sandra) Mitchell of Pelion; grandchildren, Sonja (Chris) Sharpe, Angie (Matt) Miller, Jonathan (Tracy) Mitchell; great-grandchildren, Blake Sharpe, Cody Sharpe, Madison Miller, Lilly Mitchell and one on the way; sisters, Lucille (Art) Barnes of Medford and Jo Ardrin of Delray Beach, FL. Mr. Mitchell was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Mitchell; a sister, Marguerite Hampshire and a brother, Paul Mitchell.
