Barbara Jean Spratlin Lattimore, 88, was called home by her Heavenly Father on Wednesday morning, April 14, 2021. Barbara was born February 7, 1933. Barbara enjoyed life working in her yard, swimming in her pool, crafting, being entertained by her cats – ChaCha, Gigi and Tiger – as well as traveling with her loving husband to the beach and mountains. She worked many years with Richland and Lexington County schools before retiring to reside at her lake home in Lexington, SC.
Barbara is preceded in death by her late parents, Guy and Elizabeth Spratlin; brother, Oneal Spratlin; sisters, Faye (Bill) Kluth and Gwen (Dale) Fetterly, and grandson, Jay Coulter Joy. She is survived by James C. Lattimore, her wonderful husband of 66 years who spoiled her every minute; her four children: Rick Lattimore, Don Lattimore (Debbie), Cindy Hodges (Joe) and Jan Sitter (Dan). She enjoyed being around her grandchildren: Brent and Cody Lattimore, Trent and Cole Hodges, Emilie and Daniel Lattimore, Josh and Ryan Joy; stepchildren, Christina Sitter, James Sitter (Kimberly and son, Liam); Bill Spratlin, sister-in-law.
A Celebration of Life service for Barbara will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Beulah United Methodist Church graveside located at 161 Beulah Church Road, Gilbert, SC. The Reverend Tony Rowell will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Beulah United Methodist Church.
