Mrs. Gilbert was born on June 29, 1936, in Ipswich Suffolk, England and passed away on Friday, February 8, 2013. She was the daughter of the late John and Lily Gosling Wright and wife of William Howard Gilbert. She was a member of Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church and retired from Lexington Women’s Care.
Surviving are her husband, William Howard Gilbert of West Columbia; daughter, Sandra G. (Mark) Chandler of Columbia; son, David W. (Amanda) Gilbert of Seattle, Washington; 2 sisters, Janet Pryke and Brenda Cannel, both of England and 4 grandchildren, Chelsea Gilbert, Taryn Gilbert, Courtney Chandler and Ashton Chandler.
