Betty Pegg Rydberg

Throughout her life, Betty embraced change with steady resilience, including the many moves that came with being a military spouse. She especially enjoyed the opportunity to live in other countries, meeting each new place with an open mind and a ready sense of humor that made even unfamiliar surroundings feel more welcoming.

Betty was a devoted mother and a fun-loving grandmother, remembered for the warmth she brought to her family and the lightness she carried into everyday moments. Her presence was a source of strength, and her laughter remains a cherished part of the memories held by those who loved her.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Ashley “Nikki” (Jason) Stacherski; grandchildren, Abbi Karr (Travis), Lorna, Reese, Ashton, Landin, Harper, Sophie, and Carter Stacherski; her sister, Mary Lee Wilson; and her niece, Jeanette Carly and many other special nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arvid "Al" Rydberg; her sister, Alice Schroeder; and her brother, Richard Pegg.
