LEXINGTON - Funeral services for Betty J. Varney, 88, will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, with interment to follow at Woodridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 27th, at the funeral home. Mrs. Varney was born on July 11, 1929 in Sacramento, CA, to the late Walter and Lizzie Baldwin. She entered into heaven on September 24, 2017. Mrs. Varney was the owner of Varney's Bar and Grill for 30 years.
Mrs. Varney is survived by her children, Victoria Ann Affolter (Robert) , Margaret Ellen Huggins (Ted), William Eugene Varney, and Stephan Lee Varney; grandchildren, Michelle Nelms, Barbara Affolter, Kayla Varney, Melissa Varney and Jacquelyn Roberson; great-grandchildren, Zachary Varney, Hunter and Hannah Dunovant, Keira Roberson, and Elizabeth and Thomas Nelms. She was predeceased by her husband, Billy Varney; daughter, Melinda Weirich, and son, Henry Thomas Varney.
