WEST COLUMBIA – Funeral services for Beulah Turner Cain, 82, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 23, 2013 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. A burial service will be graveside at 5:00 p.m. in the Canadys Cemetery at Canaan Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Pallbearers for the service will be Bernie Cain, Jeff Cain, Ken Cain, Matt Cain, Josh Cain and Tim Ragland.
Mrs. Cain was born September 10, 1930 in Colleton County, SC and passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2013. She was a daughter of the late Loyd Turner and Cammie Bailey Turner. She was a graduate of Walterboro High School and Columbia Commercial College. She worked for Southern Bell Telephone & Telegraph, the Internal Revenue Service and in the real estate field for several companies before joining the SC Real Estate Commission as an Investigator where she retired in 1992. She was a Life Member of the Midlands Lodge Fraternal Order of Police and a supporter of the Babcock Center. During her retirement she worked many years at the SC State Fair in Guest Services and at Eckerd’s Pharmacy. She was an avid fisher-lady in the Saluda River who enjoyed the outdoors. She especially enjoyed her times at Folly and Edisto Beaches. Her family was an integral part of her life. She leaves her sons, Bernie (Nancy) of W. Columbia, Jeff (Teresa) of Lexington, Ken of Kingsport, Tennessee; and special daughter, Nancy Susan of W. Columbia; brothers and sisters, Joyce, Bettie, Lloyd of Lexington, SC and Michael and Marlene of Walterboro, SC; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
