LEXINGTON - Billy G. Weaver, 84, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 27, 2014. His final resting place will be at Poplar Ridge Christian Church Cemetery in Piney Flats, TN. Born in Bluff City, TN he was the son of the late Lawrence Weaver and Hazel Massengill Weaver.
Mr. Weaver was a member of Poplar Ridge Christian Church in Bluff City, TN. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict from 1950-1954. He retired from VC Summer Nuclear Plant as Safety Director in 1995. He was also a member of the American Legion.
Mr. Weaver is survived by his companion, Janet Lindner; sons, Tracy Weaver of Asheville, NC and Steven Weaver of Westminster, SC; daughter, Susan Weaver Miller of Asheville, NC; granddaughter, Cassie Chandler; great-grandson, Quinn Shilling; brother, Ashley Weaver (June) of Bluff City, TN and an uncle, Tom Millhorn. He is predeceased by his wife, Betty Weaver; brother, Richard Lynn Weaver and his aunt, Mary Millhorn. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
