LEXINGTON - Bobby James Murphy, Sr., 66, of Lexington, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2016. He was born January 17, 1950 in Lexington, SC to Bill and Vernell Murphy. He was a retired Prysmian Cable Employee.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Hinson Murphy; daughters, Melissa Sackel of Orangeburg, Tina Browder (Jay) of Gaston, Angela Harper of Gaston; son, Bobby J. Murphy, Jr; step-sons, Timothy Sullivan of Lexington and Andrew Sullivan (Wendy) of West Columbia; step-daughter, Katherine Corley (Brad) of Lexington; eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2016 in Southland Memorial Gardens, 820 West Dunbar Rd., West Columbia, 29170. Pastor Mark Bredholt Officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 25, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Caughman Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210.
