LEXINGTON – A graveside service for Carl Ray Padgett, 65, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 6, 2012 in Lexington Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Memorials may be made to the Charity of One’s Choice.
Mr. Padgett, a retired farmer, was born April 17, 1947 in Lexington County, SC and passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2012. He was the son of Mary Ruth Meetze Padgett and the late R. G. “Gantt” Padgett.
Mr. Padgett is survived by his wife, Barbara Padgett of Lexington; daughter, Rebecca Padgett Dooley of Lexington; son, Jimmy Ray Padgett (Becky) of Lexington; 2 step daughters, Kim Smith of Lexington and Karla McRae (Glenn) of Leesville; mother of Lexington; 3 sisters, Gaynell Stephens (Don) of Prosperity, Julia Ann Derrick (John) of Lexington and Patricia McKinnon (Henry) of Nashville, TN and nine grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father and sister, Edith Padgett and granddaughter, Kayla Padgett.
