Carole H. Walston

Carole H Walston, a beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on February 22, 2026, at the age of 78. Born on September 17, 1947, Carole was a resident of Lexington, South Carolina. She was known for her humorous, kind-hearted, and thoughtful nature, and was an inspiration to many. Her gentle, faithful, and cherished presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Carole graduated from William R. Boone High School in Orlando, Florida, and attended Orlando Junior College. Throughout her career, she worked as a preschool teacher and served as a dental assistant and receptionist. In her personal life, she was a devoted wife to her husband, Jack Walston, and a loving mother to her son, Jack Walston Jr. (Kelly), and daughter, Ashley Lawrence (Aaron). She was a cherished GeeMom to Emily Serio (Brandon), Logan Lawrence, Sarah Lawrence, Reese Lawrence, Jack Walston III, Maddie Walston, and her loving pet Happy.

Carole had a passion for making cards and wreaths for family, church friends, and many homebound friends. She loved decorating her home for the seasons and had a fondness for collecting china and dishware. Her community involvement was significant, as she was a member of Mt Horeb Church in Lexington and was heavily involved in church hospitality at the churches her husband Jack served.

Known as a prayer warrior, Carole was committed to praying for her children, grandchildren, and even strangers. Her legacy of faith in Christ, compassion and hard work will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.

Expressions of gratitude are extended to Right at Home Care for their support over the past few months, her friend group at Mt. Horeb Church, other visiting friends, and the prayer ladies from Orlando. A special thanks to her hairdresser, Donna Cavanaugh, for her care and friendship.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 13, 2026 at Mt. Horeb Church, 1205 Old Cherokee Road, Lexington, SC 29072.

A Celebration of Life will also be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at First Presbyterian Church of Orlando, 106 E Church Street, Orlando, FL 32801.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to LaVie Pregnancy Care Center, 1271 Calks Ferry Rd., Lexington, SC 29072. Carole's most reliable counsel to her son and daughter was, "Don't be offended, walk in love."
