LEXINGTON - Carroll Timothy “Tim” Rhoten peacefully entered into Heaven on November 20th after a brief illness at the age of 75. He was an amazing husband, Deddy, granddaddy, and friend to all. His sense of humor kept all others smiling and laughing.
Tim is survived by his wife, Margaret Bishop Rhoten; children, Natalie (Ken) Rhoten Mashburn of Cumming, GA and Regina “RG” (Steven) Rhoten Lewis of Inman, SC. Tim has 5 grandchildren: Mitchell (23), Olivia (17), and Lauren Lewis (17) of Inman, SC, Jackson (13) & Charles (13) Mashburn of Cumming, GA. He is survived by his sister, Loretta Rhoten. Tim was born on December 21, 1941 on the “mill hill” in Lexington, SC. He was a lifelong member of Lexington UMC and an avid Gamecock fan. He graduated from Lexington High School in 1960, married Margaret Bishop, the love of his life in 1962. After a 33 year career in the Navy, he retired to Lexington SC. Tim began his second career with the Lexington County Auditor’s Office and retired again after serving 22 years with the county. His last career was learning to be a homemaker with his “Margo”. He loved gardening playing games; watching sports, games shows, taking annual family beach trips to Isle Palms and being the best Grandaddy ever. He lived his life with kindness and generosity to all and will be greatly missed, especially by his “main man”, Mitchell.
