

Catherine Ann Jenkins, 66, was born in Tacoma, WA on April 22,1958 to Andrew J. Walsh and Fern E. Walsh. Catherine went home to be with the Lord on October 11, 2024 from her long time home in Lexington, SC.
Cathy grew up in Tacoma, WA and began raising her two children, Richard and Dawn in the Pierce County area. It was here that Cathy developed her love of Mount Rainier. Cathy also met and married her husband, Ron, before the family relocated and made their permanent home in Lexington, SC. In Lexington, Cathy became a grandmother and great grandmother. Cathy loved her family and cherished when she got to spend time with them. She also had a deep affection for animals, including her many cats.
Cathy's journey this side of heaven was not an easy one. She faced numerous tribulations and health issues along the way. Despite all of life's trials, Cathy demonstrated great strength and persevered on her journey, often ending conversations with the phrase, "Loves, hugs, and prayers." Additionally, Cathy was not fond of goodbyes and would instead simply say, "Later."
Cathy was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald S. Jenkins; her father, Andrew J. Walsh; her mother, Fern E. Walsh; her brother, Rex M. Walsh; and grandchild, Donald Bryson Shumpert.
Cathy is survived by her son, Richard Mickelson (Mary) and grandchildren, Caleb and Joshua; her daughter, Dawn Humphries (Michael) and grandchildren, Desarae, Destiny, Angels, Dalilah and Charles; her adopted daughter, Beth Keisler (Tim) and grandchildren, Kevin, Tim, Thomas & Tehya. Cathy is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Blake, Addison & James. In addition, Cathy is survived by brothers, Pat Walsh (Ann) and Donald Walsh of Tacoma, WA, Matthias Walsh (Gena) of Fife, WA; and sisters, Marie Clark of El Paso, TX, Darlene Workman (David) of Tacoma, WA, and Teresa Burns (Robert) of Dallas, OR. Furthermore, Cathy is survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Cathy, it is our turn to say to you now, "Loves, Hugs, and prayers...later."
A memorial service for Cathy will be held Saturday, November 30, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home - Lexington Chapel, 503 North Lake Drive, Lexington, South Carolina 29072.
