Catherine Theresa Sanders

Catherine enjoyed her travels throughout her life, taking her to many states, as well as overseas alongside her husband who served in the Army. She was a spiritual woman and enjoyed the time she spent within her church organizations. She was a fervent wife, mother, and grandmother to many. This was felt in all that surrounded her. She will be continuously loved and missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 64 years, Tom Sanders; her daughter, Linda Anne Sanders; her grandson, John Christopher Sanders; and her son-in-law, Stephen Brockway. She is survived by her daughters, Karen Brockway and Theresa Woods (Tom Anderson); sons John Sanders (Cathy Sanders), James Sanders (Debbie Sanders), and Richard Sanders (Melissa Hinson); her grandchildren Michelle McGuire (Theodore McGuire), Justin Dennis, Patrick Dennis, Tarah Sanders, Christina Sanders, Kevin Hightower, Bradley Moore, Rocky Moore, Sabrina Moore, Lucenda Sanders, Tabitha Brodie (Channing Brodie), and Catherine Hinson; and great grandchildren, Trystan Marshall-Eubanks, Alexander Eubanks, Layla Dennis, and Hudson Little.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or any other charity of your choice.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, 503 N. Lake Drive, Lexington, SC 29072, with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. The graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Fort Jackson National Cemetery, 4170 Percival Rd, Columbia, SC 29229.
