WEST COLUMBIA – Funeral services for Cathy Harmon Sox, 56, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church with interment to follow in Woodridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Memorials may be made to Mt. Mrs. Sox was born June 28, 1960 in Columbia, SC and passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2016. She was the daughter of Carl W. Harmon and Elise Murphy Harmon. She graduated from Brookland Cayce High School and retired from the Employment Security Commission after 33 years of state service. Mrs. Sox was currently employed with South Carolina Administrative Law Court Office. She loved shopping, interior decorating, gardening, trips to the beach and Gamecock football.

Mrs. Sox is survived by her mother; her husband of 25 years, Christopher Sox of West Columbia; son, Nicholas Kyle Hayes of West Columbia; daughter, Kayla Khristine Sox of Columbia; sister, Lisa Harmon Long (Mickey) of Lexington and Kim H. Smith (Allen) of Lexington. She is predeceased by her father.
