Charles E Wise

LITTLE MOUNTAIN – Funeral service for Charles Eugene “Gene” Wise, 91, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 26, 2011 at Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Jason Antley and Rev. Derald Edwards will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 25, 2011 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Chapin Chapel.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Lutheran Men.

Mr. Wise was born November 23, 1920 in Irmo, SC and passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2011. He was the son of Edgar B. Wise and Leila Smith Wise. He was a member of Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church where he served on Church council and various committees. He was also a member of the Lutheran Men. Mr. Wise served in the Army, and he retired from Burris Construction. He was a carpenter by trade.

He is survived by his wife, Roberta Eargle Wise; his daughters, Sheila Huff (Robert) and Beth Boney (Herman); numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends; and his grand-animals, Taz and Savannah.

He was predeceased by his son, Larry Wise; and sisters, Margie Bouknight, Sarah Shealy, Ruby Wise and Katie Belk Bouknight.
