Cindy L. Priselac

Cindy Boring Priselac, 68, passed away on August 22, 2026. She was born on July 28, 1958 to Mary Leeann Boring of Mt. Pleasant, PA and the late Robert Boring and was the eldest of six daughters. Cindy was born and raised in Mt. Pleasant, PA, and resided and raised her family in Lexington, SC for the last 40 years. Throughout her life, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and best friend to many—someone whose steady presence, thoughtful, handmade and unique gifts, and genuine care left an enduring mark on the people fortunate enough to know her. She was an incredible, selfless mother to her girls and like a second mom to so many others.

Cindy graduated from Connellsville High School (Connellsville, PA) in 1976 and attended University of South Carolina. She brought energy and purpose to every role she accepted, including serving as Former President of Columbia Toastmasters and as Former Vice Chairman on the Board for the Free Medical Clinic in Columbia, SC. She worked at Baptist Hospital in Columbia, SC before starting her interior decorating business, and in every setting she combined creativity with determination—approaching work with a capable, can-do spirit and a high standard for doing things well.

A gifted artist and decorator, Cindy had an eye for beauty and possibility, and she seemed able to make something meaningful out of almost nothing. She loved projects and building things, decorating, and cooking favorite meals for family. Cindy also delighted in the fun of the hunt—finding treasure at yard sales, searching for and believing in Bigfoot, and collecting seashells. Her interests were wide and spirited: sci-fi and history, Cracker Barrel on road trips, and cheering loudly for the Steelers, even if she didn’t always know the rules.

Cindy’s joy for life showed in the ways she gathered people together. Sociable and welcoming, she loved to entertain and was known for being a listening ear and a trusted sounding board—someone who cared deeply about others doing their best and being their best. She was strong-willed and strong-headed, and she also carried a generous readiness to lend a hand to family and friends, no matter what the ask. She loved traveling from the Caribbean to Madagascar, collected turtles from around the world, and found humor and delight in small moments—like taking pictures of people looking like they’re holding an object in the distance.

Tennis was one of Cindy’s great pleasures, both watching and playing. She played on a league for 25+ years, bringing to the court the same commitment, grit, and enjoyment she brought to the rest of her life. She was also an avid gardener and took so much pride in her garden.

Cindy is survived by her husband, John M. Priselac and daughters, Brittany L. Priselac (Cable Parkhurst) and Meagan L. Priselac (Benji Deane). She was “Cici” to her grandson, Quinn Michael Priselac. She is also survived by five sisters: Sandy Scott (Gary - deceased), Mary Ann Shaffer, Tammy Beal (John), Bobbi Jo Runco (David), and Heather Grimm (Robert); brother in law, Joseph Priselac (Mary Jo); sister in law, Patricia Todorowski (Walter - deceased); and nieces and nephews: Camille Priselac Whelan, Adrienne Jones, Edan Priselac, Daris Reamer, Ryan McAteer, Cameron Nurminen, Casey Henry, Troy McAteer, and Taylor Hochman.

Visitation will be from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Thursday, August 27, 2026 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home - Lexington, 503 North Lake Drive, Lexington, SC 29072. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, August 28, 2026 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home - Lexington.
