

LEXINGTON – Funeral Services for Clarence L. “Trip” Anderson, III, 71, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday November 7, 2017 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel 820 West Dunbar Rd. West Columbia, SC 29170 with interment in Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Agape’ Hospice, 1053 Center Street, West Columbia, SC 29169.
Mr. Anderson was born January 10, 1946 in Florence, SC to the late, Clarence L. Anderson, II and Helen Waddell Anderson and passed away November 5, 2017. He was a member of West Columbia Baptist Church. Clarence graduated from McClenaghan High School in 1964 and studied Computer Science at Southern College of Business in Orlando, Fl. He worked in data processing at the Highway Department in Columbia as a senior Systems Analyst. He retired in 1994 with 22 years of service. Trip enjoyed water skiing, sailing, fishing, shrimping and walking on the beach with his family. He was a soft-spoken, gentle, and well-liked by all that knew him.
Surviving are his loving wife of 22 years, Dean B. Anderson of Lexington; son, Charles L. Anderson (Reid) of Lexington; daughter, Amy L. Vickers (Mike) of Irmo; son, and Christopher R. Anderson (Rebecca) of Lexington and eight grandchildren
