He worked at Nephron Pharmaceutical Company for the past 3 years. Jay was a loving husband, son, brother, and brother-in-law but being a father was his greatest joy in life. He loved his son and when they were together it was like they were the same person, they completed each other. He loved Carolina football and playing golf, and loved cooking.
He is survived by his wife, Ruthie Mobley; son, Collin Sanders Mobley of North Carolina; parents, Claude S. and Marcia of Irmo; and sister, Beth Smith (Jacob Smith) of Colombia.
He was predeceased in death by James R. and Hazel Mobley of McClellanville, SC and Heubert and Bertha Jones of Arnoldsville, Ga.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00 PM till 6:00 PM on January 4th, 2025 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home – Lexington Chapel, 503 North Lake Drive. Lexington, SC 29072.
