A funeral service to honor and celebrate the life of Cynthia “Cindy” Brown Martin, 67, of Leesville, will be held on Tuesday, December 31st, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Celestial Memorial Gardens, with burial to follow in the cemetery. The family warmly invites friends to join them afterward for a celebration of life at New Heritage Church, 3109 Leaphart Rd, West Columbia, SC 29169, where they will share memories, love, and support in Cindy’s honor.
Cindy was born on March 1, 1957, in Columbia, SC, and peacefully entered her Heavenly home on Friday, December 27, 2024, surrounded in love by her family. Cindy was reunited in Heaven with her loving husband, John “Ken” Martin; her parents, Dorothy Harriet Thompson and Charles Richard Browder, and her dear sister, Gail McIntosh (Joseph).
Cindy was the heart of her family—a devoted wife to her loving husband, Ken, a cherished mother and grandmother, a beloved sister and aunt.
Cindy’s happiest moments were spent outdoors with Ken- fishing, camping, or simply enjoying the beauty of nature. Above all, she treasured time with her family, always cherishing the laughter, love, and memories shared during their time together. Her warmth, generosity, and unwavering love will remain a lasting legacy in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
She leaves behind a family who adored her: her children, Scottie Lemonds (Missi), Melissa Rogers, Richard Brown, Michael Brown (Christina), Tracy Yarborough (Bodie), and Shanna Banks (Anthony); grandchildren, Wade Thomas Lemonds, Jules Lemonds, Lillian Brown, David Yarborough (Lindsey), Lexie Yarborough, Anaya Eichelberger, Adara-Zo Banks, and Anthony Banks III (Maiah); great-grandchildren, Riley Jane Yarborough, Alivia Banks, and March Nowell; her loving sisters, Paula Craig, Marie Coker (Robbie Coker), and Sandra Carraway (Randy Eaddy); and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family who will continue to honor her memory.
Cindy was a shining light in the lives of everyone she met, and her love will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Cindy Martin's name to the American Heart Association (www.heart.org/donate).
