

David John De Rhodo of Lexington, South Carolina, was born October 20, 1957, in Denver, CO, to the late John and Arlene De Rhodo. He grew up in Yonkers, NY and graduated from the State University of New York in Plattsburgh, NY, where he met the love of his life Joan Aramini. He and Joan were married 45 years raising their family first in Rhinebeck, NY, and later relocating to Mount Pleasant, SC, where they became long-term residents.
David enjoyed a long career in the personal finance industry, serving as a certified financial planner under the Ameriprise banner for many years. Throughout his life, he exemplified a deep and unwavering faith, often sharing his beliefs and inspiring others with his kindness and integrity. He cherished spending time with his family, laughing with his grandchildren, and especially cheering on his beloved South Carolina Gamecocks.
David is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Joan; his children, son Alex (A’Dair) of Atlanta, GA; daughter Amanda (Andy Ferrell) of Lexington, SC; and daughter Emma of Charleston, SC. He is also survived by six grandchildren Owen, Elias, Avery, Aidan, Josephine, and Audrey; brother Danny De Rhodo (Denise); mother-in-law Marie Profera; brother-in-law John Aramini (Jenny); and nephews Christopher and Jason.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home - Lexington Chapel, 503 North Lake Drive, Lexington, SC 29072.
A memorial service will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 14, 2025 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 2350 Augusta Highway, Lexington, SC 29072.
