David Paul Fautley

David Paul Fautley, 68, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, March 3, 2025. Mr. Fautley was born on February 11, 1957, in Royal Oak, Michigan to the late Kenneth and LolaAnn Fautley. He was a loving husband, father, brother, cousin, and friend.

Mr. Fautley is survived by his devoted wife, Janet S. Fautley; daughter, Alana M. Lorick (Bryce); son, David P. Fautley, Jr.; stepdaughters, Catherine S. Martinez (Raynor) and Emilee C. Skipper; sister, Patricia Hinsberger (Clayton); nephews, Dan Hinsberger (Dana) and Steve Hinsberger (Holly); great nieces, Kara and Brenna; and great nephew, Seth. He was preceded in death by his parents listed above and brother, Kenneth Ray “Buddy”, Jr.

Dave was a respected veteran retailer in the manufactured housing industry and was an innovator in retail marketing and advertising. Based in Lexington, he was best known for his successful HomeMax retail center. Mr. Fautley served on the Manufactured Housing Institute of SC Board of Directors and Dealer Roundtable. He was the first president of that business association’s Midlands Chapter. Dave also contributed to the operations of the state’s licensing agency by serving of the SC Manufactured Housing Board’s Internal Review Committee. The agency relied on his expertise to analyze cases. He partnered with some of the state’s top retailers and was well-known and admired statewide by his peers in the manufactured home business.

A memorial service for David will be held Sunday, March 9, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Horeb Church, 1205 Old Cherokee Road, Lexington, SC 29072. The family invites all to gather in the vestibule of the church following the ceremony to share fond memories and love.
