Larry and I, are close neighbors for the last 6 years and had the pleasure of sharing many good memories with David and Betty, he was very funny. loving, caring and outgoing with his wife Betty. Special memories; great time and delicious food in an authentic German restaurant, were David and Betty invited us.
Also when he got some tequila drinks "El Patron" with my mother and family in our house, it was funny and awesome, Betty and David were dancing after few drinks.
We will miss him very much.
We will be here for Betty when she needs, Nikki and David jr.
So sorry for your loss.

We were neighbors and friends with David and Betty when we were stationed in Heidelberg, Germany. We all lived in Holbeinring in Mark Twain Village. Maryann and Betty would sit and talk almost every day in the playground area between the two buildings that we lived in while Maryann was babysitting small children. We got to know each other fairly well. After our retirement from the Army we met up with David and Betty once again here in Columbia before they moved to Lexington. If Betty would like to talk with Maryann her phone number is 803-572-6204. We would like to express condolences to Betty and her family.

I know you and John are sitting in a boat or on the bank with the lines in the water right about now. Just have the cards ready when Betty and me get there, she’ll have her black pen and I’ll have my red shirt on. Forever will I cherish all of the memories we made through the years as a family. We are all going to miss and love you just like we do John, the two of you are like Forest Gump says “Peas and Carrots”. This isn’t going to be good bye this is going to be til I see you again.
