LEESVILLE – A memorial service for David W. Knowles, 47, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2013 at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends after the service. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
David was born January 15, 1966 in Anchorage, Alaska and passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2013. He was a son of the late David R. Knowles and Marie Kimbler Knowles. David was employed with Stock Building Supply. David was a baseball coach for 28 years. He coached at Trenholm Park, Lower Richland High School, Dreher High School and American Legion Richland Post 6. His life was guided by his “Love of the Game”.
David is survived by his wife, Tammie Jones Knowles and son, David Ryan Knowles; sister, Debbie Handley and brother, Robby Knowles.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Gilbert High School Baseball Program, 146 Main Street, Gilbert, SC 29054. Honor David’s memory by taking a child to a Baseball game.
