Davis Carleston Dooley, Sr.

Davis Carleston Dooley Sr. 80 of Lexington passed away Monday April 9, 2018. He was born February 13, 1938 in Lexington to the late James Bliss Dooley and Lessie Irene Keisler Dooley. He was a lifelong member at St. David Lutheran Church, a long time Scout Master, earned the Silver Beaver Award, and a former church council member. Surviving is his wife, Vinetta M. Glenn Dooley; daughter LeAnn Faulkner (Toby) of Gilbert, two sons, Carl Dooley (Donna), and Brent Dooley (Cathy) of Lexington. Four sisters; Melba Taylor, Ozelia Shull, Linda Miller and Annette Bickley, 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. on April 12, 2018 at St. David Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends on April 11, 2018 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home Lexington Chapel. In Lieu of Flowers, donations can be made to St. David Lutheran Church, for the Boy Scout Troop 340 and The Athletic Committee.

Papa Dooley was one outstanding person and MA Dooley. Met these two running Dooley grocery store, hotdogs where great and whatever there smile touched your heart every way. Gonna miss ya Pop. But heaven has another worker for God's store. Live ya.

Had the privilege of meeting Mr Dooley when delivering Sumter daries milk to him at the store he and his wife were always very nice and his hotdogs and chilli is the best around , you will be missed sir

My husband and I came in their store a lot.He was always so nice and friendly and that is why we came back so many times.He was a lovely person and he will be missed.
