Dewey Myers Jr.

LEXINGTON – A memorial service for Dewey (Dee) Myers, Jr., 87, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Church of the Apostles, 1520 Bull Street. Following the service, the family will receive friends at Three Rivers Room at Laurel Crest, West Columbia.

Mr. Myers was born May 30, 1928 in Sipsey, AL to Dewey and Pansy Stewart Myers and died Monday, February 22, 2016. A graduate of the University of Alabama (Roll Tide) with a Masters in Metallurgy, Mr. Myers worked for General Electric, Philips Components and Nippon Chemi-Con (Japan) as a research metallurgist.

A resident of Lexington County since 1966, he is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Carole R. Myers; son, Dr. C. Blake Myers (Cynthia); daughters, Suzanne M. Sutton (Bret) and Amy M. Sabin (Eric); and grandchildren, W. Samuel and Alexandra C. Myers; Rebecca M. Sutton; Christina E., Alyssa J. and Amanda F. Sabin.

In lieu of flowers the family encourages contributions to Oliver Gospel Mission or Church of the Apostles (Thanksgiving Fund) both of Columbia, South Carolina.
