LEXINGTON – Funeral services for Dianne Elizabeth Corley Griggs, 63, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 3, 2011 at Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church with interment in Woodridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Liver Foundation, 39 Broadway, Suite 2700, New York, NY 10006 or the American Lung Association, Midlands, SC, 1817 Gadsden, Columbia, SC 29201.

Mrs. Griggs died Wednesday, June 1, 2011. Born in Lexington, SC, she was a daughter of the late Ernestine Bailey Corley and James Woodrow Corley. She was retired from a long and successful career with the Solid Waste Management Division of Lexington County as franchise coordinator for 22 years, where she established the first recycling program in Lexington County.

She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Edward Griggs; daughter, Marlo Roberson and daughters and sons-in-law, Christie and Keith Walker, Marti and Pleas Faglie and Laurie and Brad Grooms; grandchildren, Eric, Kirsten and Emily Walker, Cole and Elise Roberson, Kerry Faglie and Sara Beth and Kate Grooms; sisters, Brenda Keisler (Larry), Sandra Stevenson (David), Debra Tucker (Ben); brothers, James Corley (Libby) and Rick Corley (Lisa); sister and brother-in-law, Suanne and Vernon Marshall.
