Donald Ray Christian

Don graduated from Memphis State University, Memphis, TN as an Industrial Engineer. He began his Engineering career at Dover Elevator designing elevators for high end hotels. He spent most of his career at NIBCO out of Elkhart, IN where he was Vice President of Manufacturing. He later moved his family to Orangeburg, SC when he chose to start up the NIBCO plant in Denmark, SC.

Don was a car enthusiast his entire life, specifically Corvettes and BMW's. He enjoyed car racing of any kind but was fond of racing on BMW tracks and local drag racing. He cherished his 1988 BMW M3. Don also loved to watch the Gamecocks play, especially watching games with Carole. He always enjoyed time spent with his family.

Don is survived and will be dearly missed by his wife, Carole of 62 years; daughters, Kelli Christian Sturkie (David), Kori Rae Corless (Donny) and Kaci Reagan Fowler; grandchildren, Trae, Tori and Tatum Sturkie, Auston and Cannon Corless and Chevy Fowler; siblings, Kathleen Myers (Art) and her family and Bruce Christian (Julie.)

Arrangements are private and under the care of Caughman-Harman Funeral Home in Lexington, SC. The family appreciates your thoughts and respects their privacy during this time.
