“My life is not ending, it is just beginning”. Donald Foster III (58) entered his new life on 10/1/2021.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald A. Foster, Jr.; his grandparents, Clyde and Jessie-Faye Drafts; his grandparents, Donald A. Foster, Sr. and Marian Foster and his nephew, Anthony E. Foster. He is survived by his daughter, Makayla Foster; his mother, Eleanor Drafts Foster; his brother, Brian Foster (Terri); his aunt, Nila Balentine and several cousins.

Donald always loved the outdoors, he loved adventures, camping, going on hikes, and pretty much anything outside. He loved going out for late nights with friends, and was involved in many communities including the church, AA meetings, and his friends from his motorcycle group. Donald loved late night drives with his daughter, Makayla and her friends. He was a very enthusiastic Carolina fan and rarely missed watching a game. Throughout his years he did a lot of work with his brother, Brian. They were inseparable no matter what issue they had. Donald loved playing pranks on the rest of his family. Donald loved helping others and was always there to offer a helping hand.

My deepest sympathy to Donald’s family. I know he will be very missed. His faith was strong and I believe he is with Jesus now. Donald and I went to church together and also were in school together at Lexington. He always seemed to be a gentle, thoughtful soul.

My sweet Donald was a very bright light in my life over the past year. He and I shared many nights under the stars and moon talking, and sharing stories of the good old times. The apple of his eye was his daughter Makayla... I pray that God keeps her in his grace. My only regret, is that he and I never got to go antique hunting around the US. I will cherish our memories always. I will see you on the other side. Rest in peace
