To you Jim (my PDA) and to you Kelly & Heather (my Goddaughters), I'm sorry it has taken me this long to enter something in this guest book. Donna's death has been one of the most devastating things I've had to ever endure in my life & it has taken me a while to come to terms with it myself. We all became "family" 43 years ago. That's when this wonderful friendship started. Donna and I were closer than sisters and how I got so lucky to have someone like her love me and make me her best friend I'll never know. We both felt that God brought us together. We have shared almost everything over these many years and we didn't even have to talk to each other. We just could look at the other and we knew what we were thinking. We could laugh at nothing because just being together was pure happiness for each of us. And though we didn't live in the same town for 37 yrs., the friendship survived and thrived. We brought 4 children, between us, into this special relationship and then the the family was 8. I thank God that Donna and I had 3 1/2 yrs. to say our goodbyes as not everyone gets that. We made the most of those years and when I'm at the beach, she's right there with me as that was our most favorite place to be. I watched each of the 3 of you hurt over the years and I shared that hurt but just knowing you were losing your wife and mother added extra hurt for me because I love you each so very much. Donna was my "BB" and I feel that half of me is gone now. No one else on earth can share all the memories she and I shared together but how lucky we all are that she was in our lives in so many ways. No one on this earth could be any sweeter or more precious than her and she made us all better people. So to the 3 of you, thank you for sharing her with me and we will remain family as we go forward. To you, my BB, I miss you more than words can express. However, I got the sign you sent me at the beach so I know you are okay and you will wait to welcome me there with you someday. Thanks for the memories & all the wonderful times we have shared. PDA, THANK YOU for taking such good care of my darling friend. She will be our angel now and will take care of all of us. May God bless each of you as you go forward in your life and remember - she is inside each of us in her very special way & for that I'm so thankful!

Donna came into my life as a coworker but became so much more. Her bright smile and cheerful laugh could brighten anyone's day. She was so giving and caring and loving, talented and full of life. She touched the life of everyone she met. I valued our friendship and I will miss her greatly. My thoughts and prayers will remain with you Jim, Kelly, and Heather and all of Donna's family.

I have never met anyone like Donna Joy. She was way more than a coworker; she was such a great friend, and I love her dearly. She will be so missed.
