COLUMBIA AND AIKEN – Donna Day Webb wife of Robert Clifton “Clif” Webb, passed away June 17, 2018, at their home on Lake Murray following a prolonged illness.
Born April 11, 1950, in Washington, GA, Donna Webb was the daughter of the late James Garland Day, Sr., and Lois Clegg Day. She was a 1972 graduate of Winthrop College earning a B.S. degree in Business Administration. Donna and Clif Webb were married in Columbia on September 16, 1972. In 1975 they moved to Aiken, SC, where Donna began a career in human resources, first with Therm-0-Disc Company and later in medical services, insurance and information technology. In 1978, the Webb’s lost an infant child, Robert Clifton Webb, Jr. In 1979, a second son, Matthew Clifton Webb, was born. Matthew is an attorney in Arlington, VA.
In 1989 the Webb’s relocated with the DuPont Company from Aiken, SC, to Wilmington, Delaware where assignments alternated between Delaware and Washington, DC. In 2009 they retired and returned to Aiken.
Donna was an avid supporter of Ronald McDonald Houses in Delaware and Georgia and a former member of the board of Directors of the Ronald McDonald House of Augusta. She enjoyed traveling, decorating their homes, entertaining, and playing golf with her friends and family.
In addition to her husband Clif and son Mathew, Donna is survived by a brother, John W. Day, of Jacksonville, Fl, and his two children Corynn and Wesley; a sister Dawn Day Hott, her husband Lynn and son Caleb, of Tampa, FL; and her mother, Lois Clegg Day also of Tampa. Donna was predeceased by a brother, James G. Day, Jr.
A visitation is scheduled from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Caughman Harman Funeral Home, 503 North Lake Drive in Lexington, SC, and will be followed by a private Celebration of Life at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Ronald McDonald House Charities – Augusta; The Children’s Place of Aiken; or Golden Harvest Food Bank, Aiken Warehouse.
