

Dorry Lytricia Schultz, 86, of Lexington, SC, entered into the presence of Jesus on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at her home surrounded by family. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and family. She was born October 4, 1938, in Andrews, SC.
A devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, Dorry is survived by her daughters, Tammy Cooper and Cindy (Anthony) Keisler; grandchildren, Kari (Andrew) Robinson, Lauren (David) Foust, and Ben (Sammy) Keisler; and great-grandchildren, Essie, Jessa, and Tripp Foust, Sophie Keisler and one on the way. She is also survived by her brothers, Ronald (Ina) Hoover and John (Myra) Hoover.
She was preceded in death by her children, Sammy Schultz and Sharon Lucas; granddaughter, Megan Keisler; her sister, Judy Henegar (Bobby); and her beloved cousin, Jessalyn Thomas, who was like a sister to her.
Dorry was a longtime member of Lake Murray Baptist Church, where she faithfully served as church secretary. She also worked as secretary to the principal at Lexington High School and was respected for her professionalism and kindness throughout her career. A graduate of Palmer College, she valued education and hard work.
Family was at the center of Dorry’s life. She cherished annual family trips to the beach when her grandchildren were young, loved shopping, enjoyed playing cards with friends, and filled her home with beautiful indoor plants. Her warm smile and steady faith left a lasting imprint on all who knew her.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to her caregivers—Linda, Joan, Jamie, and Rosa—for their loving care.
Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 21, at Lake Murray Baptist Church, officiated by Mike McCormick. Burial will follow at Southland Memorial Gardens, 700 West Dunbar Rd., West Columbia, SC.
