

LEXINGTON - Edna “Fran” S. Baker, 67, of Lexington, SC, passed away unexpectedly of heart failure on Friday, February 5, 2016. Fran was born in North Carolina in 1949 to Robert and Emma Shelton. After graduating from Jordan High School in Durham, N.C., Fran lived in many different locations from the Carolinas to Wisconsin, Key Largo and even a brief time in England. Later in her life she settled in Lexington, S.C. so that she could be close to her grandchildren. She spent many happy hours cheering them on in various athletic endeavors. Fran enjoyed reading, playing games, sailing and spending time with her family. She was also an avid Green Bay Packer fan.
Fran was a beloved sister, mother and grandmother and is survived by her children, David (Kim) Blankenbeckler, Nicole (Lynne) Blankenbeckler and Matthew Baker, her sister, Sandra Shelton, sister-in-law, Faye Shelton and her grandchildren Logan and Lauren Blankenbeckler. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Emma Shelton and her brothers Richard and Kevin Shelton.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, or a charity of one’s choice.
