Ed was born on December 14, 1955, in Knoxville, TN, to Jack Bradley of Aiken, SC, and Mildred Shelton of Bradenton, FL. He grew up outside of Atlanta and joined the United States Air Force after high school.
In 1976, he met Lori (Beaver) Bradley. They married in 1977 and shared 48 years together until her passing in November 2025.
Ed’s highest priorities were his faith and his family. He enjoyed learning how to do things himself, from home projects and gardening to fixing anything and everything. He loved the outdoors. He was a Boy Scout in his youth and later served as a Royal Rangers leader.
Throughout his career, Ed worked in retail management, freight, and information technology. He earned a Certificate in Biblical Studies from Whitfield Institute and devoted much of his time to serving others through church leadership, college Bible study, and helping anyone in need. Ed is now reunited in Heaven with the love of his life, Lori.
He is survived by his son, Dan Bradley (Jessica) of Lexington, SC; his daughter, Sarah Peeler (Michael) of Taylors, SC; his two grandchildren, Yates and Emilia Bradley; and his six siblings, Janice Parker, David Bradley (deceased), Doris Sells, Gay Foucher, Julie Finley, and Randy Bradley.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home – Lexington Chapel, 503 North Lake Drive, Lexington, SC 29072. A reception will follow at Ed’s residence.
