Betty was an art student who volunteered for the USO where she met Don, an enlistee in the Army Air Corps in 1945, where he approached and addressed her as “Betty,” without formal introduction, and without even knowing her name was Betty, she enjoyed music, playing bridge and practicing fine art (painting). She was a member of the Lexington Country Club for many years, and loved by many.
She will be interred next to Don at Bush River Road Memorial Gardens, on April 25, 2018 in a private ceremony. A formal memorial service and reception for friends and non-local relatives is currently being planned and will be announced when details are available.
