Ernest Samuel Santilli

Ernest graduated from St. Anthony High School in Washington, D.C. and went on to graduate from Montgomery College in Tacoma Park, Maryland. From there, he attended the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland and also served in the United States Navy from April of 1951 to April of 1955. In addition, he worked in the capacity of an Investigator and Federal Agent for the Washington, D.C. government and retired in 1991 from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. He also worked part-time as a Special Investigator for the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Ernest had resided in Chapin, SC from October of 1994 to June 2023.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Ann Santilli; son, Edward Scott Santilli of Davidsonville, MD; daughter, Carol Ann Santilli of West Columbia, SC.

He was predeceased by his son, Christopher Santilli.

A mass will be held for Ernest at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 195 Amicks Ferry Rd, Chapin, SC 29036, and will be live streamed on the church website.
