Saturday, June 25, 2022, Ernest Bryan Shull passed away at Lexington Medical Center. Bryan was born September 21, 1960 in Columbia, SC. Bryan was the son of Ernest Daniel Shull, Jr. and Patsy Hentz Shull of Lexington, SC. Bryan was happily married for 31 years to the late Donna Burbank Shull.
Bryan had a passion for bluegrass music and bicycling. He played harmonica and ukulele. He had often played with the Lucas family in Gaston. Bryan logged many miles on his bikes and also rode the unicycle in many parades over the years. Bryan was a 1978 graduate of Lexington High School and Lexington Vocational School Auto Body Repair Program. Bryan was a volunteer firefighter with Lexington Fire Department. He was employed 30 years for Inland Container and worked with ReStore until his health began to fail last year after the sickness and loss of his wife.
Bryan leaves behind his devoted parents, Ernest and Patsy Shull; his brother, David W. (Charlotte Knight) Shull and brother, Calvin H. Shull. He was the grandson of the late Ernest Daniel Shull, Sr. and Jennie Lee Cannon Shull of West Columbia and the late Thomas Henry Hentz and Fay Hite Hentz of Lexington.
Pallbearers will be Frankie Shull, Darrell Shull, Donald Schumpert, Charles Schumpert, Richard Taylor, Leroy Smith and Archie Moore.
Service will be Wednesday, June 29 at 1:00 pm at Saint David Lutheran Church, West Columbia, SC. The family will receive family and friends an hour prior to service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
