Flora Watson Price

GILBERT - Flora Watson Price, 88, of Gilbert, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018. She was born in Columbia, SC on January 26, 1930; the daughter of the late George Watson and Sarah Kyzer Watson. She was the most benevolent person, always caring and concerned with her family, friends and her church. She was a member of Greene Street United Methodist Church where she served as Sunday school teacher and superintendent. She always organized the annual Christmas party, Vacation Bible School kickoff party and provided gifts for all the children. Flora graduated from University High School in 1947. She worked at Sears and was Vice President of Colite Industries in West Columbia for over 40 years. Flora was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She and her husband also enjoyed square dancing and were members of various clubs in the area. She is survived by her loving daughter, Donna P. West (Ervin) of Gilbert; son, Bobby E. Price, Jr. (Cathy) of Pine Ridge; grandchildren, Lyndsey and Stuart West, Kimberly Wadford (Brannon), Courtney Walker (Jonathan) and great-grandson, Matthew Peyton Walker. She was predeceased by her husband, Bobby E. Price, Sr. and brothers, Phillip and Bill Watson.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Greene Street United Methodist Church with interment in Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.
