LEXINGTON – Frances Emile Newman Beales, 82, was born December 20, 1936 in Rolling Fork, MS and passed away on Friday, September 13, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Gustave Ernest Newman and Bennie Mae Maxwell.
Mrs. Beales was a graduate of Rolling Fork High School. Her employment history included: medical stenographer for Columbus AFB, MS, secretary on Chanute AFB, IL, Columbus AFB, MS, McChord AFB, WA, and Charleston AFB, SC. She operated a successful tax consulting business for over 20 years with her husband in Summerville, SC.
On a personal note, her kitchen creations were renowned. She also adored gardening. Her sewing, knitting, crocheting, poetry, and interior decorating were marvels to behold. Nobody could fashion a more breathtaking Christmas. She and her devoted husband of 63 years were incredible dancers.
Mrs. Beales is survived by her beloved husband, David Milton Beales, Jr.; daughters, Cynthia Hope Beales Clark (Gary), Lisa Carole Beales Williams; grandsons, Ethan Glenn Williams, Matthew Stuart Jerdan, and Stephen Maxwell Jerdan (Tara); great grandsons, Jackson Maxwell Jerdan and Samuel Duke Jerdan.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Mounds Cemetery in her beloved hometown of Rolling Fork, MS on Friday, September 20, 2019.
