She attended York High School, where she was active on the basketball team and sang with the Junior Chorus. She worked many years at Lexington Sportsware and Hamp Caughman’s Red & White in Lexington, where she was celebrated and loved by the community as “Miss Frances”. She was well known for her spunky personality, and her ability to make anybody laugh. In her later years, she spent much of her days in her golf cart, spending time with the neighborhood children and visiting Dr. Harmon’s goats. She was very active in her neighborhood and helped to form a Neighborhood Watch.
