

George Robert Harmon (68) entered the arms of our lord peacefully on Saturday, December 27th, 2025. He was born in Albany, California on December 25, 1957. He grew up in Lexington, South Carolina where he spent most of his life.
George was a family man and spent his life honoring his family and friends living out his faith. He loved to cut up, make jokes and make everyone laugh. He was very outgoing and loved spending time with the ones he loved. His favorite thing to do was to sit by the pond with his best friend “porch therapy.” That gave him so much joy. He never met a stranger and would do anything to put a smile on your face.
He was the son the of the late Grady Harmon Sr. and the late Phyllis Jonte Harmon. He was also greeted in Heaven by his brother, Timmy Harmon and his eldest daughter, Alicia Harmon Garnsey.
He is survived by his youngest daughter, Amanda Harmon Sullivan (Tommy); son-in-law, Robert Garnsey; and his grandchildren: Emily Garnsey, Chase Taylor, Bella Garnsey, Parker Sullivan, Liam Sullivan, and Mason Garnsey.
He is also survived by his brothers, Rev. Grady Harmon Jr (Theresa) and Ricky Harmon.
Honorary pallbearers are Steve Steele, Corey Steele, Robert Garnsey, Thomas Sullivan, Zack Harmon, and Ian Harmon.
Services to celebrate his life will be held at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home – West Columbia Chapel, 820 West Dunbar Road, West Columbia, SC 29170, on Friday, January 2nd at 11:00 am.
Caughman-Harman Funeral Home will oversee all arrangements.
Any memorials can be made through the American Cancer Society in honor of George.
