Gladys Olaruth Keisler

WEST COLUMBIA-Funeral services for Gladys O. Keisler, 70, will be conducted Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Central Church of the Nazarene, West Columbia; burial will follow at Lexington Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 13, 2011 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Church of the Nazarene, 100 S. Woodside Parkway, West Columbia, SC 29170 or The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 107 Westpark Blvd # 150, Columbia, SC 29210-3871.

Mrs. Keisler passed away Friday, June 10, 2011 at home surrounded by her family. She was a member of West Columbia Central Church of the Nazarene, a former Sunday School Teacher, baby sitter to many, and a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Mrs. Keisler is survived by her husband of over 53 years, Mervis R. Keisler; children, Lorraine (Mark) Button of Lexington, Jeanette (Gary) Haase of Blythewood, Christine (John) Tyson of Gilbert, and Kelvin (Trish) Keisler of Lexington; sisters, Betty Smith of Lexington, Margaret Zissette of West Columbia; brother-in-law, Marcen Smith of Gilbert; five grandchildren, Alicia (David) Arnold, Jordan Tyson, Sara Tyson, John Tyson II, and Nathan Keisler; four great-grandchildren, Adam Arnold, Jacob Arnold, Emily Tyson, and Ariana Tyson. Mrs. Keisler was predeceased by her sisters, Francis Goff, Nettie Shull, Elease Smith, Earline Hite; her brother, George W. “Buster” Sox.
