Harriett S Hornsby

LEXINGTON -A memorial service for Harriett Saunders Hornsby, 86, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 22, 2011 at the Presbyterian Community of SC, 700 DaVega Drive, Lexington, SC 29073 with interment in Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends after the service. Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mrs. Hornsby was born April 13, 1925 in Florence, SC and passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2011. She was a daughter of the late George Moye Counts Saunders and Anna Ruby McLendon Saunders. She was a member of State Street Baptist Church, Cayce, SC. Mrs. Hornsby was a homemaker who loved making gifts and baking cookies for friends and family.

Mrs. Hornsby is survived by her loving husband of sixty-five years, William “Bill” Hornsby; daughter, Susan (Jerry) Hicks; son, William Guyton Hornsby, Jr. (JoAnn); grandchildren, Lorraine (Scott) Paxton, Micah (Ginger) Hicks, William Guyton Hornsby, III and Joe Hornsby; great-grandchildren, Anna and Emily Paxton, Micah William, Marion and Oliver Hicks. She was predeceased by her parents and a son, David Rogers Hornsby.
