Helen Christine Hicks Stoudemire

WEST COLUMBIA – Funeral services for Helen Christine Hicks Stoudemire, 92, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Crossroads World Outreach Center with interment in Southland Memorial Gardens. Her nephews will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 25, 2011 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Memorials may be made to Crossroads World Outreach Center, 2606 Emanuel Church Road, West Columbia, SC 29170.

Mrs. Stoudemire was born December 12, 1918 in Lexington, and passed away April, 22 2011. She was a daughter of the late Millege Franklin and Jessie Viola Rikard Hicks. Mrs. Stoudemire was a member of the Senior Class and the FISH (Fellowship Inspiration Salvation Hope) Sunday School Class. Mrs. Stoudemire will be remembered by her family and friends for her strong faith, patience, sweet disposition and sense of humor. She was always able to see the good in everyone she met.

Mrs. Stoudemire is survived by her sisters, Mary Alice Taylor and Margie (Benson) Bedenbaugh; numerous nieces and nephews and her special friend Deanna Cole. Mrs. Stoudemire was predeceased by her husband of over 50 years, the Rev. Harvey H. Stoudemire; brother, Robert Hicks and sisters, Mamie Ruth Gunter and Carrie Mae Reeder.
