LEESVILLE – Graveside service for Herman Don “Tennessee” Rains, 72, of Leesville will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Woodridge Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors or a Charity of one’s choice.
Mr. Rains was born in Speedwell, TN on August 23, 1943 and passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2016. He was the son of the late, Herman Rains and Mattie Lee Owens Rains. Don coached little league baseball and loved to fish, hunt and racing his boats, motorcycles and cars. Surviving are his wife, Delories of Leesville; sons, Rodney G. Rains (Kathryn) of Chapin, Michael D. Rains of Lexington, and James D. Rains of FL; grandchildren, Kollin Rhiannon, Katherine, Abby, Dylan and Dustin Rains; sister, Jeraldine R. Wilson of Ewing, VA. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Glenn H. and Gary L. Rains.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Compassionate Hospice and all of his caregivers for their love and prayers.
