LEXINGTON – Funeral services for Homer Landis Smith, 88, will be held at 11:00a.m. on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Pisgah Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends from 6:00p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 16 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Memorials may be made to Pisgah Lutheran Church,1350 Pisgah Church Road, Lexington, SC 29072.
Mr. Smith was born October 9, 1923 in Lexington, SC and passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2012. He was the son of the late J. Leroy Smith and Sue Sharpe. Mr. Smith was a member of Pisgah Lutheran Church where he was a former Sunday School Superintendant and Church Council Member. He was a Mason and a WWII Veteran.
Mr. Smith is survived by his daughter, Carolyn Smith Franklin (Bill) of Irmo, SC; his son, Marion Clark Shealy (Judy) of Knoxville, TN; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Mr. Smith was predeceased by his wife, Catherine Smith; sister Grace Hicks and brother, John Smith.
