LEXINGTON – A funeral service for Irene Reeder Reed, 86, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Following the funeral service there will be a graveside service at 4:00 p.m. at Whitmire Cemetery.
Mrs. Reed was born December 31, 1928 in Newberry, SC and passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Thompson Floyd Reeder and Helen D. Dickert Reeder and the widow of the late Ralph W. Reed.
She is survived by her daughter, Claudia Wingard (Johnnie) of Lexington; grandchildren, Jay Wingard III (Angie) of West Columbia and Tracy Ellis (Dale) of Lexington; great-grandchildren, Christian and Angel Ellis of Lexington; sister, Odetta R. Frazier of Lexington and brother, Donald L. Reeder of Taylors, SC. Memorials may be made to the American Kidney Foundation, 11921 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD 20852.
