COLUMBIA – A memorial service for Jack L. Rake, 83, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 12, 2016 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Rake was born July 28, 1933 in Athens, OH and passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2016. He was the son of the late John F. and Ethel Decker Rake. Mr. Rake retired as a Master Sgt. after 21 years of serving our country in the United States Air Force. He also served in the Vietnam War. Mr. Rake is survived by his wife, Joan; daughter, Carrie Glenn (Jimmy); son, Kevin Rake (Terri); four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Betty Gould.
